South Korea entry requirements: What to know

🔹Public health and security contribution: The e‑Arrival Card helps immigration authorities manage public health and border safety more efficiently by collecting critical traveler data ahead of time.

🔹Editable before arrival: If your travel plans change or you notice a typo, you can still edit your submitted e‑Arrival Card online as long as it's within the 72-hour validity window.

🔹No need to carry a printed copy: The e‑Arrival Card does not require printing; immigration officers access it electronically. Still, some travelers save a PDF or screenshot as a backup.

🔹New trip, new form: A fresh form is required every time you re-enter South Korea.

🔹Parallel system until December 2025: Paper arrival cards are still accepted during the transition period.

“When I tried applying through the official portal, the tricky part was entering my accommodation address,” says Daniel H, an iVisa travel contributor. “It had to be typed in a very specific way for the system to accept it. But with iVisa, the form is much simpler and avoids that frustration.”
