Questions?

Travelers from countries that are not visa-exempt—such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, India, South Africa, China, and many EU and African countries—are eligible to apply for the Nigeria e-Visa online.

This visa is suitable for tourism, business visits, short-term education, medical trips, and family visits.

You must apply online through the official Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) portal. After completing the form and uploading documents, you pay the visa fee (which varies by nationality).

Upon approval, you’ll receive an e-Visa approval letter, which you must print and present at your port of entry for biometric capture and final visa issuance.

The visa is usually valid for 30 or 90 days, depending on the type selected (single or multiple entry). Processing takes about three to five business days, though it’s recommended to apply at least one to two weeks before travel.
